Regal Felines Cat Rescue

http://www.regalfelines.com

Regal Felines Cat Rescue is a no kill, all volunteer organization which is dedicated to the rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming of displaced cats.

We are a private rescue. We are not a shelter. We take cats away from the stress and the danger of shelter life and bring them into our foster program. The cats are fostered in private homes where they are treated like members of our family and we offer assistance to owners who can no longer keep their pets. All of our cats are placed in loving, well educated foster homes.

We specialize in Persian, Himalayan, Siamese, Ragdoll, Tonkinese, Maine Coon, Bengal, British Shorthair & other rare breeds! Some of our cats are purebred, some are 'copycats'(mixes) and some are neither. They are all special and deserve to be in a loving and dedicated home! We strongly believe in educating pet owners and shelters about different breed's specific needs and carefully match displaced cats with the perfect new home.

The funding for Regal Felines is a result of generous donations, adoption fees and various fund-raising activities.

Zara's List Animal Rescue
www.zaraslist.com

We focus on saving dogs and cats who are in the shelter and we primarily take from high kill shelters. All of our animals live in foster homes and are evaluated in the foster home for temperament and ability to reside with dogs, cats and kids. Our purpose is to make the best match for the family and for the dog and hopefully place our fur-friends in lifetime homes.

We save lives by folks who open their doors and foster these beautiful animals until they find their forever home. If you want to make the greatest difference in saving a life, then consider fostering. Many families are at their limit in their permanent fur members but taking in one temporarily saves that animal's life for a lifetime. http://www.zaraslist.com/foster/index.htm

Our rescue takes in the needy, the neglected and those who are often most discarded by society. Through some wonderfully talented vet work and caring folks many dogs are restored to wholeness. If you'd like to help us continue to save those ones check out the work we are doing at http://www.zaraslist.com/icuward/icuwardanimals.htm

Sammie's Friends

http://www.sammiesfriends.org

The mission of Sammie's Friends is to provide medical care for the animals at the Nevada County Animal Shelter. This care makes them adoptable. We accept donations to pay for medical care for the animals. The county will only pay for emergency medical expenses up to $100 per animal. Many times the animals have conditions which keep them from being adopted and yet the condition is not considered an emergency because it is not life threatening (i.e. demodectic mange, broken legs and hips, amputation of legs, respiratory infections, foxtails in the ears and nose and many more conditions). If these conditions are not cared for, the inevitable is that the animal will be euthanized because no one will adopt them in the condition they are in.

Animals often come to the shelter because they are strays and have been abandoned by people who should have cared for them. Many of these animals have medical problems. In 2006, Sammie's Friends spent over $61,000 to provide medical care and support for 82 cats, 110 dogs, 1 bunny and 1 horse. With your continuing donations, we can help even more animals in the future.

Pet Rescue By Judy

Pet Rescue By Judy is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue cats and dogs. Many of them come to us with medical needs. They are doctored to the best of our ability and resources. We do not have a shelter, but, instead, house our rescued animals in private homes until we can find loving homes for them.

Obviously our most urgent goal is to rescue animals that are abandoned or in distress, update their vaccines, and find good new homes for them. But we attempt to be more proactive than that. It is our heartfelt desire to prevent any animal from the need to be "rescued." With that vision in mind, we take a three-prong approach through the education of pet owners and the general public about:
- proper care of animals, including correct diet of good quality food, fresh clean water, daily exercise, and lots of love
- spaying and neutering companion animals (dogs and cats) in order to prevent euthanasia and over-population
- low-cost spay/neuter clinics and wellness centers in their local community

The Paw'd Squad Animal Rescue

Our website is www.pawdsquad.org.

The Paw’d Squad Animal Rescue is working toward a time in Los Angeles when all cats and dogs are cared for, when all puppies and kittens find loving and generous owners. We rescue unwanted and abandoned animals, provide them with medical care, rehabilitation and foster homes until caring, adoptive homes can be found. We spay and neuter prospective pets and educate owners about the importance of pet population control. We educate and help caretakers maintain healthy feral cat colonies with a goal of population control and placement of socialized cats and kittens in permanent and loving homes.

Ultimately, we believe no animal should go unloved.

My name is Dawn Allmandinger, I'm NEWDAWN DOG RESCUE in Grass Valley. All of the rescue work is voluntary and strictly non-profit. All fees and medical charges for the fostered animals are paid for out of pocket or are partially offset by donations to the Grass Valley Veterinary Hospital. Petfinder.com is where I have my web site. Following is a description of NEWDAWN DOG RESCUE.

I go into the Nevada County Animal Shelter located at 14647 Mc Courtney Road, in Grass Valley Ca., 95949 2 or 3 times a week, sit in the pens with the dogs, photograph them, talk to them and evaluate their personality. Then, when I post them on my Petfinder website, I write a little story about each animal. I do this for the cats too. Occasionally, I am contacted by people who need to give up their pet. I get as much information as I can about the pet and post their story also.

Have A Big Heart For A Big Dog!

Best Friends Rescue

Best Freinds Rescue is operated by a private family, located in Moreno Valley, California. We have donated our home and time to take in unwanted, abused and neglected large breed dogs (Danes, Saints, Mastiffs/Mixes) and give them everything they need until a new and forever home is found. Although we try to never turn away any dog in need in our area, we are restricted by our funding and space. We have devoted our own time and resources to rescue many dogs from overcrowded shelters where they are destined for "euthanasia". We have rescued as many of these dogs that funds will allow. We also try to rehabilitate as many as possible for a second chance for a new and loving home. We operate solely from monies directly out of our pockets and donations from private individuals for food and medical care. We can only continue our life saving efforts with your Support! Thank you so much for caring! Don't shop, please adopt and save a life!

Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control

The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control is one of the largest and most progressive animal control agencies in the United
States. Our six animal shelters serve all unincorporated County areas and 50 contract cities. We cover more than 3,200 square miles of cities,
deserts, beaches, and mountains; from the Antelope Valley in the north to the Palos Verdes Peninsula in the south; as far east as the border of
San Bernardino County and west all the way to Thousand Oaks. We provide animal control and rescue services 24 hours a day, seven days a week in
our service area.
Our shelters offer a wide variety of potential pets for you and your family to choose from. Most of our animals are either strays or pets turned in by owners no longer able to keep them. The many benefits of adopting from a County Animal Care Center include; low-cost spaying and neutering, a free veterinary check-up, and the knowledge that your new pet has already received initial vaccinations against contagious diseases.

Besides patrolling busy streets, back roads, beaches and canyons for lost, injured and abandoned animals, our animal control officers also sell dog licenses, conduct humane investigations whenever cruelty to animals is suspected, provide emergency rescues during natural disasters, and enforce all state and local animal control laws.
