The SPCA of North Brevard, Inc.
We are located in Titusville, FL, 32780, and the address is 455 Cheney Highway.
Our phone number for the Adoption Center is 321-267-8221.
Our website is www.spcanorthbrevard.com and our animals can be viewed from
that site.
A brief description of our organization's guiding principles follows:
The SPCA of North Brevard was founded in 1979 to provide humane services to
animals located in the county, including the prevention of cruelty to animals,
the providing of humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection,
seeking suitable homes for animals without owners, educating the public on
humane animal treatment and promoting the need for spay/neutering of domestic
pet animals.
Pet Rescue North, Inc. (PRN) was established in 1992 as a non-profit, NO-KILL animal shelter, registered with the State of Florida. PRN was the dream of a lady named Barbara Moody. She felt all abandoned and stray animals on the Northside of Jacksonville deserved to find a haven where they would be safe until suitable homes could be found. However, Barbara became seriously ill and passed away before her dream could become a reality. Peggy Haynes, a dedicated, hard working volunteer took over operation of PRN and the associated shelter. Although PRN is not yet the big beautiful facility Barbara had envisioned, we are fulfilling some of her dreams. PRN has been operating now for over sixteen years thanks to one of our original sponsors Dr. Philip Hightman, DVM. Dr. Hightman provided the property (via a no interest mortgage) for our kennels and reasonably priced medical care to get our shelter moving forward.
Caring for the animals and maintaining the shelter is a 24/7 operation. There
are 80 dogs and cats at any one time, which require a lot attention. Some
animals are special need pets requiring continuous medical attention, medicinal
regime, exercise, love, etc. Currently, Brentwood Animal Hospital providesreasonably
priced medical care for our "borders" and makes it possible for
all animals to be spayed or neutered at an affordable price, which is included
in our adoption fee along with shots, wormings, FIV/Feluk and Diro tests.
Animal Refuge Center
meowmeowarc@hotmail.com, website at www.animalrefuge.com
The Animal Refuge Center of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.
ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
Paws & Claws
Located in Chiefland, FL-a very rural area with lots of homeless dogs and cats. We rescue from our local kill shelters and also help people who are looking to place their pets(so that they do not end up in a kill shelter with an unknown future). We do all breed dog and cat rescue and make sure that our rescues are fully vetted before going home. We do not have our own website...we can only be found by accessing www.petfinder.com and searching their database(either by pet or location). People may contact us by e-mail at rkish@svic.net (preferable) or by phone(352)490-6608(home) or (352)871-2012(cell). We operate this rescue from our home and the majority of pets on our site are fostered with us...occassionally we have pets who are fostered elsewhere but most are here so we know them first hand. Our goal is to place as many pets as possible with loving, forever homes and to educate our community about responsible pet ownership.

CHESED FOUNDATION, INC.
A NON-PROFIT 501(c)(3) ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE RESCUE AND PLACEMENT OF
UNWANTED ANIMALS.
“Any religion not based on respect for life is not a true religion. Until he extends his circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.” Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)
Chesed Foundation was started unofficially 12 years ago. In 2004 Chesed was incorporated as a non-profit and obtained the designation as a 501 (c) (3) charity in January 2005. Throughout this time the mission of saving helpless and unwanted pets has not changed.
Chesed is defined as a sustaining action which comes out of kindness and compassion. Acts qualify as Chesed when they are motivated by a spirit of honest and selfless generosity, not one of obligation or expectation of "something" in return.
It is part of the Chesed philosophy to act on behalf of those that can't help themselves.

HARP is an all-foster adoption group located in Ruskin, Florida. We are a
small network of families who provide foster care for displaced and unwanted
pets until they can be adopted into loving, responsible homes.
We are family funded; meaning that we are not a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.
Each foster family takes financial responsibility for the pets they house.
Unfortunately, there are more animals than we can care for, so we are always
in need of good foster homes.
Welcome to Bradford County Paws

Established by a group of dedicated volunteers as the result of the need
for special rescue. The ALL VOLUNTEER, non-profit animal rescue group is
dedicated
to saving the lives of unwanted animals while focusing on pregnant dogs/
nursing dogs or cats which otherwise might have ended up being euthanized.
Our Mission: Devoted to saving pregnant and nursing dogs, cats and their offspring,
keeping them in a safe, healthy, foster environment and finding them forever
loving family.
The Process: Our rescues are cared for in foster homes until they are vet checked,
able to be spayed /neutered, micro-chipped and current on all vaccines. Once
a clean bill of health is given, then the adoption process begins.
Adopting: Every potential adopter regardless of age, sex, race, creed or religion
will be required to fill out an application. All applications will be reviewed
by an experienced Adoption Counselor to determine if the best interests of
the animal are met. Once the ideal adopter is found, he/she will be given the
opportunity to become a part of the animal's life.
South Florida Bull Terrier Rescue League

Bull Terrier Rescue League Inc., is a fully independent Bull Terrier Rescue
that spans all the States of the Union!
ALLEN BABCOCK DOG & CAT RESCUE, INC.
www.babcockrescue.petfinder.com (Florida)
We are a no-kill - not for profit dog & cat rescue group that rescues
injured, abandoned and/or abused animals (that most rescue groups would not
take), and do "whatever it takes" to make them better. Once healed,
we rely entirely on foster homes to nurture the animals until we find their
permanent "forever" home.
We DO NOT euthanize because they are injured and their care will be costly
- nor do we euthanize because the animal is too old to be adopted. We take
animals that most other no-kill organizations will not take --- which makes
us a TRUE no-kill organization.
