Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends Inc. (AARF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue organization licensed by the state of Georgia . The purpose of AARF is to end pet overpopulation, providing permanent safe and loving care for dogs and cats in need.
AARF targets stray and abandoned animals and provides them food and shelter,
medical care and socialization through a network of
animal care and foster care providers until they can be placed in loving, permanent
homes. AARF also works to educate the public about
responsible pet ownership and raise awareness about the benefits of spaying
and neutering to reduce the population of homeless and unwanted animals. When
possible, AARF rescues animals from shelters when there is an imminent danger
that the animal will be
euthanized. Some animals are brought to AARF when their owners are unable or
unwilling to provide them care. AARF does not
euthanize pets for space or financial reasons. Animals are euthanized only
in cases where the pet is terminally ill and suffering,or poses
an uncontrollable danger to people. If an adopted AARF pet ever needs a new
home, they come back into our program until a new
adoptive family is found.

Saving Rotties One at a Time...
Although our primary passion is the successful rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Rottweilers, we have many other dogs, cats, and guinea pigs! For those not familiar with Georgia and their archaic animal control policies, Georgia euthanizes animals on a large scale after only days in shelters. The numbers are staggering and heartwrenching! It's barbaric. I do not fault the state, I blame irresponsible owners and careless rednecks who fail to have an animal they are entirely responsible for spayed or neutered. I don't believe breeding is wrong. Breeding is acceptable for only one right reason, to further the betterment of the breed. Unfortunately, this rarely happens.
RGRAR Inc is a licensed non-profit rescue. All donations are welcomed and
are tax deductible. We are a two person team. Our mission is to save abandoned
animals on Georgia's death row which would otherwise die alone.

Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Inc. is a newly formed, all-volunteer, non-profit
organization. Our founding members are both licensed and experienced kennel
and rescue shelter operators, as well as dedicated individual volunteers who
have combined resources in order to become a driving force for change in animal
care for our area. Serving Harris, Meriwether and Troup counties, our goals
are to eliminate pet overpopulation in our communities and to rescue homeless

an amazing new facility: a rescue shelter, adoption center and sanctuary, a

RescueCats, Inc. is a no-kill, nonprofit, licensed organization whose main focus is educating the public about proper treatment of animals, which includes addressing pet overpopulation issues and the importance of spay and neutering. We provide temporary care for orphaned and owner released kittens and cats. Foster care, including shelter, food/water, love, and necessary medical care is given to each animal until it can be adopted into a suitable home. Kittens and cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV (Feline Leukemia & Feline Aids), dewormed, vaccinated for RCP (distemper combo), treated for fleas, ear mites, and anything else that might be necessary prior to adoption. The animals are spayed or neutered to stop the cycle of overpopulation and to improve the overall health of the cat or kitten. Each potential adopter is required to submit an adoption application, pay a standard fee, and agree to house the animal indoors.

We are a domestic non profit rescue, rely only on adoption fees and donations to operate. We pull from kill shelters when time is up. We take in Heartworm positive and treat, hit by car cases and do all possiable to save their lives. All animals are altered, vaccinated, wormed, Hrt worm tested, treated if positive and placed on prevention, test for Feline Luk & HIV, rabies vacc., and microchipped. Activation of chip is $14.99. Adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs and $125.00 for kitties.

LifeLine Animal Project supports collaborative programs to benefit the entire Atlanta animal welfare community. Promoting a compassionate network of care, we provide needed services to animal rescue groups, humane societies, animal control shelters and the public throughout the Atlanta area.The LAP Dog House and Kitty Motel are boarding facilities for homeless dogs and cats in area adoption programs. Up to forty dogs live and play in a fun, safe, and loving environment until they can be placed into permanent homes. Kitty Motel residents enjoy a cage-free temporary home with plenty of climbing areas for adventurous cats and hiding places for shy kitties.Catlanta is our feral and stray cat assistance program. Catlanta provides education and support to individuals and groups implementing trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs in their residential or business neighborhoods. TNR involves returning feral cats back to their outdoor homes after the cats have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated. Their caretakers then provide on-going care with food, shelter, water, supervision and veterinary treatment when needed.
LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinic is a low-cost, high-volume, high-quality spay and neuter clinic. The clinic is open to the public Monday-Thursday by appointment. The LifeLine Spay & Neuter Clinic also performs spay/neuter surgeries for the Fulton County Animal Services Fix'em Free program. Additionally, the clinic offers discounted procedures to animal rescue groups and for feral cats.

We do not operate an actual shelter or kennel at this time. We manage our rescue efforts through a network of approved loving foster homes. We function as a pet referral service for people in search of a new companion for their family. Our featured pets are in search of their forever home. We also work closely with several rescue groups and visit local animal shelters weekly in order to help you find a new companion best suited to your family.

Hightower Farm is an all-volunteer, state-licensed 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of geriatric and special-needs pets. As space allows, we take in dogs, cats and horses 10 years of age or older with terminal (non-contagious) illnesses, chronic conditions, or mental or physical disabilities. Our focus is the animals who don't stand a chance of being adopted. At our sanctuary, these seniors live out their lives in peace and comfort.
