The Franklin County Humane Society is a 501-C-3 Non-Profit. We are all volunteers. We receive no public/government funding, nor do we have a physicial shelter. All fosters within our care are housed at various member/volunteer homes spread out over the tri-state area. Our various programs include, but are not limited to: Forever Home Adoption, Spay/Neuter Assistance to financial need residents of Franklin County and education assistance i.e.--potty training, housetraining and basic obedience.

Our Lil Bit of Heaven

http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/heaven.html

We are a privately owned/operated animal rescue who is dedicated to ending the senseless killing of animals who have been discarded by society. We pull our furry ones from "Death Row" at local shelters, accept owner surrenders to prevent the animal from going to the shelters and bring home those who were tossed out to fend for themselves.

All of our animals, prior to going to their forever homes, will be spay/neutered, heartworm tested, fecal test, dewormed, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, safer tested, and on a heartworm preventative and flea/tic preventative.

Once you've found your new furry family member, we require an adoption application be completed and a home visit to ensure our girls/boys are going to the right environment for their individual personalities. If all goes well with these two items then an adoption contract between yourself and our facility will be completed and your new family member goes home with you.

Purrfect Friends for Adoption, Inc.
P. O. Box 2134
Clarksville, IN 47131-2134
www.purrfectfriendsforadoption.org
Purrfect Friends is a rescue organization that uses a foster placement program to place their animals. The cats and dogs remain in foster care until their furever home is found. Foster parents learn a lot about the animals personality during that time and it makes it a little easier to make that Purr.....fect match! Purrfect Friends is dedicated to helping owners with medical expenses for their pets. We do not want an animal to suffer due to a lack of funds by their owners. Many owners do not have the funds available when an animal becomes seriously ill. Purrfect Friends is dedicated to helping with the spaying/neutering of animals. Spaying and neutering is the only way to stop the pet population problem. Since we are a foster program, 100% of donations go to the veterinarian bills for the animals! Purrfect Friends is a 501 (c) 3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions, please feel free to email purrfectfriends@bellsouth.net

Once the dogs have finished training, they are offered to the public for adoption. This program was designed, developed and implimented by our members and except for one paid employee to oversee it, we staff it as well. Countryside Animal Rescue

Countryside Animal Rescue is a group of local citizens concerned with the welfare and treatment of dogs and cats in Madison County and surrounding areas. We believe education and other outreach programs will heighten awareness of pet over-population and animal health care needs in our community. Countryside Animal Rescue works with a network of foster homes to provide care, housing, food, medical assistance and behavioral training for dogs and cats in need. Our foster program provides a loving, caring ‘home’ environment as an alternative to kennel conditions in shelter facilities utilized by some animal welfare groups. Our foster program enables our funds to go directly to the animals’ needs rather than incur expenses for the overhead of maintaining a structure and its associated costs. Countryside Animal Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization operated solely by volunteers and primarily on the kindness of our donors and members. If you would like to join us in this effort or learn more about our programs, please visit our website at www.countrysideanimalrescue.org.

Central Indiana Boxer Rescue
We are a small group of volunteers who are dedicated to the Boxer breed. All rescues are housed in our homes, with our families and personal Boxers, as we have no kennel facilities. Our capacity varies with availability of additional foster home space and health of the dogs we have already taken in. We try to limit long-term-need dogs to 1 or 2. This would include dogs needing heartworm treatment, orthopedic surgery, etc. We cover the entire state of Indiana. When necessary, we enlist the assistance of Boxer Rescue groups in surrounding states. Due to our limited space and resources, we accept only dogs we believe to be purebred.
