Northland Animal Welfare Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Our group
consists solely of volunteers who, through a variety of fundraising events,
are determined to provide a better life for the homeless and abandoned animals
of the northland. The mission of Northland Animal Welfare Society is driven
by the simple philosophy that kindness to animals helps build a better world
for all of us. Our work is supported entirely through the donations of our
members and supporters. We want to ensure that animals will never again be
alone, hungry, sick, afraid, or in pain. We want to create awareness within
our community about the immediate need to reduce the number of unwanted and
discarded animals. The cornerstone of our program is to educate and promote
the concept of spaying and neutering.
Our goal is to help every animal find a home. If it can’t, then we need a proper shelter to provide a safe, caring, and secure environment until it finds a new home. We strongly believe that every animal deserves the opportunity to live its life as a part of a loving and caring family. All animals are equal in our eyes, and each one has a special gift.We believe that a caring and compassionate commitment to the animals that we share our lives with, will provide for an enriching environment for us all.We believe that it is our responsibility to leave the footprints for those that follow us, to make a difference and to make our contributions meaningful and long-lasting.
Our current goal is to raise the necessary funding to build a new, 21st century animal shelter for all of the Northland—while at the same time, increasing the awareness of the service this new shelter will provide, and highlighting its importance in the northland.

Welcome to Sherri's Kitty Rehab and the Critter Cradle
www.hallhaven.org
Hello, my name is Sherri Hall. I am a native of Seattle, Washington and am
now living in Missouri. I have been married to Eddie since 1995. I have 3
children and two grandsons. Since as long as I can remember, I have taken
in and rehabilitated felines when they are abused and neglected. My passion
for helping God's creatures got a boost when I wed Eddie and moved on 5 mostly
wooded acres North of Marshfield. I was able to help more kitties but still
tried keeping my flock to a manageable 25-30 kitties. A couple of years ago
I got acquainted with a local animal rescue that needed help with their cats
so I offered to help out and very quickly found myself overloaded. The local
rescue started referring all their feline calls to me and I now have around
150 feline angels in my care. With other area shelters filling up, I am even
getting calls from Law Enforcement to aid in rescues of other abandoned & abused
animals such as dogs, goats and rabbits which I am not equipped to handle
but still I manage. I run my kitty sanctuary by myself and often spend 8-10
hours per day tending to their needs. God has sent me several angels to help
with the bills that go along with doing such work for which I am eternally
grateful. "Paying it forward" is not just a saying but my life's
philosophy.

Protective Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) and we are based in Kansas City, MO. We are an organization determined to work for the benefit of animals in need. Phelps County Animal Welfare League

Our focus is on helping the local shelter animals in
danger of euthanasia find forever families through our
foster home network.
Who are we? We are your neighbors, your co-workers,
and your fellow citizens who care deeply about the
plight of animals in our community, particularly
shelter animals. Some of us volunteer at the shelter.
Others have rescued animals in the community or from
the shelter. All of us look into our pets eyes and
feel compassion for those animals without a place to
call home. We are also big dreamers, and working
toward the goal of no-kill in Phelps County, in which
no adoptable animal will have to be euthanized due to
lack of an available home. With the invaluable help of
volunteers and Friends, we will strive toward building
a community where every dog and cat will have a home
as a treasured pet.
We are a nonprofit organization whose goal is to
promote and improve the welfare of animals in Phelps
County, primarily through support of the animals at
the Rolla Animal Shelter. We are not formally
affiliated with the shelter, nor receive any funding
whatsoever from the city.

501 c-3 / non profit
We have over 5,000 animals turned over to us each year. We are very strong
advocate of spay & neuter. We have a program to
help low
income have their animals altered. Our education program takes the lessons
to the school. We teach
children safety
around animals, the proper care of animals and the over population
of animals. We also encourage people to have their pet microchipped. Through
a
microchip
we were able to return a dog to his rightful owner after 3 years.
The dog had
been stolen from their yard, after 3 years the dog remembered them. We strive
to improve the lives of animals, to bring animal & human
together as a
family. To educate the public on the proper care of animals. To stop
the inhumane
treatment of animals.
We mainly house domestic animals but have taken in goats, potbellied pigs, rabbits, ferrets, birds, chickens, hamsters, mice, lizards and rats. We do not house snakes or spiders but do make arrangements for them to go into a foster home.

to and suffering of non-human animals. The CMHS is a private, non profit
organization that promotes animal welfare and provides public education concerning
the proper care and treatment of animals. Our building, the Marguerite Doe

The Animal Welfare Association of Warren County (A.W.A) was founded in
1989, to address the lack of county funded animal control. We are an all volunteer,
501c (3) not for profit organization, licensed by the state of Missouri. Since
Warren County is still a mostly rural area, it has become a dumping ground
for unwanted pets from nearby urban counties. Our main goal is to find good
homes and forever families for these "disposable" pets. Since we
began, our volunteers have rescued over 6,500 stray, abandoned or abused animals
throughout the incorporated area of Warren County. We have also, on occasion,
accepted owner turn-in pets. Rescues are not always limited to cats and dogs.
Among our rescues have been Vietnamese pigs, goats, peacocks, domestic rabbits,
foxes, possums, raccoons, and horses. We also work in cooperation with the
Warren County Sheriff's Department in investigating, rescuing, and prosecuting
animal neglect and abuse cases.

Our adoptables can be found on our website.
We are a not-for-profit 501(c)3 IRS organization that is licensed and registered
in the State of Missouri. We are Emergency Management Specialists, but for
Animals. Our Mission is to help all animals prior, during and after community
disaster events. In 2006, we implemented a new program to help owned animals
of disasters by providing temporary foster care services. We resembled the
program to the State of Missouri foster children program. We provide the food,
supplies and necessary medical care for the foster families and the owners
must visit their pet(s) weekly to ensure the human - animal bond is still intact.
What we discovered was that absolutely NO rescue group in the United States
was providing such a program and that it was and continues to be desperately
needed. In addition, we have found that it has strengthened communities and
often the foster families have even taken in the homeless humans! It's truly
been an awesome program. We seek out the foster families ourselves when helping
in the disaster areas as we want to ensure the success of the program. Therefore
every attempt is made to find foster families in the community or near the
community that the family resided prior to the disaster event. In 2007, we
implemented another new program to help the animals that were abandoned and/or
released by owners. Previous to this program we were merely transferring these
animals to non-kill shelters and/or rescue groups throughout the country, however
in March of 2007 a complete halt happened across the United States - everyone
we contacted was completely full. Since we risk our lives to save these animals,
we certainly were not ready to just hand them over to a kill shelter to risk
them being euthanized, so our volunteers scrambled together and helped the
Board develop this traditional rescue service for animals. In the fall of 2007,
while helping several rural Missouri shelters develop Emergency Plans for their
facilities we discovered that their kittens and puppies under the age of 8
weeks of age were considered HIGH RISK and 99% chance of not surviving in the
facilities. State law prohibits the adoption of animals under 8 weeks of age
and these babies immune systems were/are not capable of handling many of these
shelter facilities. Again our volunteers begged us to do something so we developed
yet another program to help these HIGH RISK babies in Missouri rural shelters.
We are a small rural grass-root organization with no big corporation, business
or even government funding and taking on all these new programs the past year
has certainly been a financial challenge, but one well worth the struggles.
