The Washington Area Humane Society (WAHS)
http://www.washingtonpashelter.org/
The Washington Area Humane Society (WAHS) is a no-kill shelter, funded solely by private contributions. Our shelter has taken in over 4,000 animals and has investigated an average of 800 abuse complaints per year.
We need dedicated volunteers and your economic help to continue to operate. Every donation counts.
In the 8 years that we've been a Non Profit rescue Organization outside
of Goldendale Wa, working specifically with abused, abandoned,
neglected & tormented Rottweilers from many sources and states, we are
told
that we are now the largest Rottweiler rescue in the west. It does feel
that way. Two of us care for about 50 +/- Rottweilers at any given
time, in addition to 6 horses, 4 goats, 2 llamas, 9 cats & 1 pot belly
piggy.....We are holistic, I'm an herbalist & Naturopath... all of the
animals that come to us enjoy the finest natural herbal therapies, as
needed and many are detoxed from vaccines and other pharmaceuticals.
We use botanicals and floral essences for their emotional & spiritual
needs.
We are a rescue and sanctuary. For some of the Rotts we rescue, Happy
Tails will be where they spend their natural life span. Some are
just too traumatized and battered to move beyond us. While happy and
well adjusted with us, loving, affectionate and silly, some adamantly
refuse to allow other humans into their lives. We'd like to do improve
their lives even more and help them evolve into accepting other humans
into their realm so they can be adopted and enjoy more intensive
companionship and living inside with the family that they select. Everything
we do is permission based, including our herbs, essences, oils etc.
Our Products Are Unique In Three Ways
1. We have ZERO tolerance for artificial chemicals, toxins or harsh preservatives.
2 Our Products are formulated for ALL animals (humans are animals too)
3 Profits from purchases help save animals lives and support animal

A Paw Up

A Paw Up is a brand new rescue, but we are not brand new to rescuing!
We started rescuing death row dogs before we really knew what it was
even called, we just knew we had to do something to help shelters with the
burden of having to euthanize perfectly good pets for lack of space
and lack of suitable homes for them!
We began our mission in 2001 shortly after adopting a German Shepherd Dog from a local shelter. We noticed that this shelter needed help, and we pitched in and helped where needed, whether gathering donated dog food or taking pets to adoption days away from the shelter, or cleaning cages and kennels. We also fostered for the shelter, and now and then we brought home an especially needy dog or two and had them fixed and adopted them out, always telling people that all these dogs need is “a paw up”. Hence, A Paw Up was born!
Located in Eastern WA, we run our rescue out of our home, and our
foster dogs and cats live as part of our family, interacting with each
other, and with our own pets and with our kids, so we can get a feel for
what kind of home would be best suited to each individual animal. Shelters
and Animal Control agencies, PLEASE feel free to E-MAIL us at any
time, with an animal you feel needs A Paw Up!

As a no-kill shelter, we strive to end the killing of adoptable and treatable
companion animals as an acceptable means of controlling the
problems of pet overpopulation. Our vision is that every companion animal born
will be welcomed into a responsible loving home where a
lifetime commitment is made to their welfare. Partner with us as a voice for
the animals by adopting, neutering your pets, volunteer if you
are able, and please donate so our lifesaving work continues.

Benton-Franklin Humane Society.
We operate the only "no-kill" animal
adoption center in southeastern Washington state and have been a part of the
local community for over 40 years.
We are a private, 501 c3 non-profit that does NOT get any funding from any
government or any regional or national animal organization. We have survived
on the generosity of local individual and corporate donations.
Last year, we found homes for about 800 unwanted animals in our area...and
we hope to surpass that this year. We are a strong advocate of spaying and
neutering to help control the pet population. For more information about our
organization, please visit our website www.bfhs.com.
